HHTC Golf Day at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club 2024

Last Thursday HHTC held its Annual Golf Day at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club in warm but breezy conditions and just managed to avoid the forecast rainy showers despite the initial drizzle experienced on the pre-tournament putting green.

This year we had 9 competitors who were split into 3 teams of 3 playing for the Stableford Team event as well as prizes for the best individual Stableford score, Longest drive on the 5th and nearest the pin on the 3rd & 17th with a fabulous Roast Beef dinner after the round at the club house.

All players had moments of brilliance navigating course at times in a 2 club wind and the very true but quick greens made it a proper challenge for all involved.

After all 18 holes were completed the team Stableford scores were tallied up and impressively Team Dawes came out on top with a very strong team score of 100 points closely followed by Team Brewerton in 2nd place with and Team Law bringing up the rear in 3rd.

In the Individual events James Law managed to card an impressive 21 points on the front 9 and 17 on the back to take the best overall individual stableford score with 38 points and also just pipped Damian Driscoll out of Longest Drive by a few yards and Adrian Akers for nearest the pin who was only a couple of inches off the green to miss out on the spoils.

It was a lovely sociable day out had by all played In great spirits with a fantastic Roast Beef Lunch to enjoy after the round in the club house.
